Business Communication – Essential Basics

10% of your success on the job is your technical skill, 90% is your communication and relationship-building skills. Given that we are working in new situations, virtual, masked, physically distanced, clear communication is more important than ever. Are there times you do not know how to bring up something important? Or state a different idea? Do you shut down or get defensive when a conversation becomes uncomfortable? Do you bring something up so sugar-coated that the other person has no idea of what is being asked of them? Do you sometimes feel like you are not being heard? These are common communication challenges for most of us!

In this training, Robin will share insights and skills you can use to make preparing for and the actual communication easier, more effective as well as a team-building. Understand what makes your message heard and received. Know what to do when an uncomfortable difference occurs. Finally, learn how to have these conversations and then let them go.
